Baptism

Tomorrow my husband and I are having our son, Harris, baptized. This event has made me think of Kasie a lot. Every time I think about it I see that picture of Kasie holding Philip on her lap the day of his baptism. She looked so beautiful and funny as it sounds when I was looking for something to wear for the service tomorrow I kept thinking that I needed to find something really good so that I could have a picture made with Harris just like it. (Not that I think I could be as beautiful as Kasie but you know what I mean - I just wanted to look my best because she always did).
I also have been thinking about how sweet and thoughtful Kasie was because about a month or 2 after Harris was born I remember Kasie telling me that I could use Philip's Christening gown if I wanted or if I couldn't find one I liked. She loved the one she had bought for Philip. I believe she got it in Ireland and I must say that it was beautiful. My mother-in-law actually found a perfect one for my son and I am so excited for him to wear it.
In the Presbyterian Church you don't select Godparents, at least not to stand upfront with you during the service. We will have lots of friends and family there to watch the service and it will be sad not to have Kasie there. However, it's nice to know that Harris has his own personal angel watching down over him.
I miss you Kasie!
